Stop for a minute and think about your holiday season last year.
How would you describe it?
For me, I think of the holidays, starting right around Halloween, as a time where everything is in full swing. Baking cookies, attending performances, going to parties, attending work lunches and happy hours, and so on and so on. It ends up being a blur--a happy, fun and memory filled blur, but a blur nonetheless.
And don't forget about the family shuffle--here on Thanksgiving, there on Christmas eve, home Christmas morning, off somewhere else for Christmas day. Then a week of eating leftovers, cleaning up, and at last New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. Phewww!
By then, it's over. Exhausted, but aching for routines again, clean and healthy food, no more drinks!!
Don't get me wrong, the holidays--however and whatever you celebrate--are blessings. And I feel lucky to have wonderful family and friends to celebrate with.
