I managed to grab a few extra moments of "free time" today. Man I love finding little pockets of time to use for myself. This is another one of those things that sounds selfish, but actually makes me a better person, mom, wife--I'm refreshed to get a few minutes to reflect, think, improve.

I have been wrong about a lot of things lately. If you know me, you know that reserving judgment is not one of my strengths. I am normally a critical, judgmental person. But I'm working on it!

I was wrong about home workouts being effective (they are--if you work the plan, it works).
I was wrong about Shakeology (no, it's not all marketing, no it's not a gimmick, no it's not only for elite athletes).
I was wrong about personal development books (or self-help woo-woo as I called them).

It's this last "wrong" that I was working on today. Reading The 10X Rule by Grant Cardone. I'm not very far in, but I am struck how his view on success lines up with my belief that to lift others up, we have to be strong ourselves. He calls success an ethical duty that we have to ourselves and to those around us.

And he asks: " close are you to your full capability? You might not like the answer very much. If you don't consider it your duty to live up to your potential, then you simply won't."

Ouch. How close am I to my full capability?  You?
I am on a mission to be strong so that I can share my strength. It is so needed in the world right now.
