Spring will be here soon, right? The Magrath Dress

From the cold depths of February in Ohio, I bring you a little bit of spring.

A new pattern for girls--a dress and tunic with a unique style and lots of room to try out some fun fabric combinations.

I got to test this one for Abby at Sew Much Ado. Like the other Sew Much Ado patterns I've tried, the Magrath Dress is easy to follow and professional. If I can do it, any sewer can do it. This is the perfect Easter dress. I would like to try my hand at a really edgy one with faux leather sleeves and maybe a lace overlay skirt....

A faux-sweetheart neckline!

Contrast zipper and back detailing

The pattern includes helpful tips on how to best set the sleeve and help with zipper installation. There are even pictures to help you (me) along.

Thanks to my beautiful model, Grace and to my nice husband for trudging out late after a long day of work to take these photos for me!

  1. Helpful husbands are so wonderful... And your dress turned out so well!!

  2. I love the shorter length on her, it is so fitting and really suits her! I'd love a dress just like this for myself! Thank you to you, your husband, and Grace - this really was a family affair and I appreciate it all so much Megan!
