Don't mind the bad photography!
The only thing I messed up on was the most obvious--I needed to sew right where there was a button on the top, center. It took me a while to realize that I could remove the button and continue sewing. Because of that my elastic casing in the front got all wonky.
Here it is on the model. Don't mind the messy hair. This was after a particularly tough soccer game. She even had her shin guards still on and didn't want me to get them in the photo. Check out that snaggle tooth.
Overall, I'm pretty happy with how it turned out--especially for my 1st try. I hope to attempt more of these dresses, so if you have any old men's dress shirts lying around please save them for me.
Oh, and Grace doesn't like this one--she says she doesn't like the colors. I think if I use the pattern on plain fabric instead of a men's shirt it will come out pretty much the same. I will try it and let Grace pick out the fabric next time! She was a good sport as my model and muse. I have a plaid skirt in the works for her that I think she likes a little better...
